Holloway

The name derives from the fact that this ancient route through the area was the main cattle driving route from the North into London's cattle market, Smithfield. As with similar ancient cattle driving routes, the way became sunken leading to the name Holloway.

Holloway Road boasts a large number of shops such as Marks & Spencer and Argos, pubs and bars include the popular Metro Bar and the Canteen. For all you retro lovers, there is lots of amazing second hand shops and with the Nags Head Shopping Centre and Holloway Market also close at hand, there is certainly no shortage of retail therapy! Holloway is also home to The Emirates Stadium, The North London University and The Rocket Complex Music Venue.

Transport facilities include Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line), Caledonian Road (Piccadilly Line) & Finsbury Park Station (Piccadilly Line, Victoria Line & Rail Services).Highbury & Islington are also on the railway line from Moorgate along with Caledonian Road & Barnsbury.
